Atlanta Book Donation!

When we heard that the Georgia Tech student organization called Buzz Buddies was launching a book drive we were eager to join them in their efforts.

Mr. Georgia Tech, Chandler Woods, and Anna Katherine Cates launched Ramblin' Reading Day 2021 in partnership with William M. Boyd Elementary School. The goal is to promote literacy in our neighborhood schools by collecting and giving books for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. To help this initiative, Rise Up & Care gave 200 copies of The Birdieman of Rio de Janeiro, which is the first book of our very own series Scout’s Superhero Search. 

Here were the books that were delivered on Tuesday March 23rd! We were excited for local students to have copies of A George P. Burdell original!
